What is stoneware?

The white kaolin clay gives it its shape and color; the quartz stone gives it its glassy appearance; the feldspar minerals ensure hardness and a stable, solid structure. High stability and impact resistance. As stoneware is glazed at a higher temperature than ceramic, i.e. higher than 1200 degrees C, a solid material structure is created that is insensitive to scratches. The material is also insensitive to acids, has no porosity, is abrasion-resistant and does not burst. As the material is not porous, i.e. there are very few capillaries and pores, it does not splinter. As stoneware is water-resistant, bacteria cannot settle there, and the material is tasteless and odorless. Is lead-free: the material does not contain any heavy metals such as lead. It is therefore suitable for a health-conscious kitchen. Care instructions: easy to clean. As it is water-repellent, it is hygienic. Due to the solid material, it is microwave-safe and frost-proof and therefore suitable for use in freezers. Please note the following for long-term use: Do not bring into contact with direct fire. When storing your products, you should place protective materials such as paper, cloth or fabric between stacking them on top of each other. Dishwasher safe up to 60 degrees C.
